Barta Gives Back |

Fishing the Barta Boys and Girls Club Billfish Tournament is fun and exciting for all who participate. For the Board of Directors of the tournament the best day is when the money is given to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Coastal Carolina. This year the tournament presented a check for $110,000 bringing the total giving in just four years to over $400,000. "We are on our way of raising the $1,000,000 I promised to raise four years ago" said Tred Barta founder of the tournament. "At this rate we will break $500,000 next year and by year 8 we should reach the million dollar goal". If you have ever spent time in one of the three Boys & Girls Club locations or any Boys & Girls Club you will know the impact this type of fund raiser has on what the clubs are able to offer to the children.
